About Asher BERNARD Ginsburg
Asher's Hobbies...
Asher loves playing sports. He plays on a travel soccer league, both tackle and flag football, basketball, and runs cross-country.
He also enjoys music, playing piano, viola, and percussion. He participates in chorus and theater. Last spring, he had one of the lead roles in the Lion King musical at Wissahickon Middle School. In his free time, he writes plays with sisters, Leah and Giselle.

THE MEANING BEHIND ASHER'S HEBREW AND ENGLISH NAMES
Asher's middle name, Bernard, was given to him in honor of his paternal great-grandfather, Bernard ("Bernie") Ginsburg. Bernard fled Poland/Ukraine during WWII with his brother Arthur. He spent time in Russia and Uzbekistan before traveling to Milwaukee and then to Chicago, where he met Jake's grandmother, Rose. He had two children, Jake's father, Elliot, and Jake's aunt, Vivian.

Dov means Bear and refers to strength.
Asher was given this name at his Bris (circumcision).
